In this all day workshop we will explore the ancient astrological imagination, focusing both on its power as a spiritual path as well as the different ways in which human destiny was mapped out according to the concepts of planets, houses, and signs.
Join Nightlight Astrology and Sky House founder, Adam Elenbaas and explore the deeper seasonal archetypes of the 12 signs and their planetary rulers, as well as the 12 houses of the birth chart.

The roots of herbalism are inextricably linked with the study of the planets and stars. Our ancestors understood the rich and complex relationship between the cycles and symbols of the planets and the plants growing on Earth.
In this day-long intensive we will explore the green path of the herbalist as it relates to the mapping of the heavens above. We will look at the relationship of several key planetary archetypes and their Earthly relatives.

Participants will be comfortably housed in the Sanctuary Retreat Center farm house with single beds and a shared bathroom. Camping options also available.
Organic and nutritious meals will be provided by the retreat staff. All participants will be assigned one to two shifts during lunches and dinners to help the kitchen staff with food prep and clean up.
Adam Elenbaas is an astrologer, author, and regular horoscope columnist for RealitySandwich.com. Adam holds an MA in English, Language and Literature, and an MFA in Creative Non-Fiction and Memoir writing. Adam was one of the founding bloggers of RealitySandwich (a popular spiritual and counter-cultural web magazine) and has been a contributing editor for RealitySandwich since 2007. Adam's first book, a coming of age memoir called, Fishers of Men: The Gospel of an Ayahuasca Vision Quest was published in 2010 through Evolver Editions and Tarcher/Penguin. Adam has seen 3,000 + astrology clients and has successfully guided over 100 astrology students and private apprentices through his study courses since starting his full time practice in 2010. When Adam isn't writing his daily horoscopes, teaching and researching, or seeing astrology clients, he enjoys professional sports and working out, music, film, theater, and spending time with his wife and two dogs in Takoma Park, Maryland.
Ashley Litecky Elenbaas
Ashley Litecky is a Clinical Herbalist and Registered Yoga teacher living in Takoma Park, Maryland. Ashley holds an MS in Clinical Herbalism from Maryland University of Integrative Health, where she graduated from in 2007 and is a professional member, active board member, and registered herbalist (RH) with the American Herbalists Guild. Ashley's passion for plant medicine and yoga is evident in her unique classes, which often blend the wisdom of nature with the wisdom of the body and yogic philosophy. Outside of her love for plant medicine and yoga,
Ashley enjoys teaching yoga and meditation to teens through her work with The Body Love Yoga Project. She also loves surfing and being near the ocean (although the ocean is still one of her greatest fears!). Sky House Yoga was born from almost ten years of Ashley's teaching yoga and studying herbal medicine, always daydreaming about the perfect way to combine her loves under one studio roof! She is an outdoor enthusiast and loves putting on her boots and heading to the forests to gather plant medicines and make plant art.
